Winter Welcome Week 2024
It’s another new semester at Governors State University (GovState) and Jaguars are getting a warm welcome back despite dangerously cold temperatures during Winter Welcome Week 2024 where fun events, music and food will abound.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, there will be a Jaguar Student Media Workshop where students interested in radio, TV, news or media can meet current Jaguar media staff from Radio Jaguar, GSU TV, and the Phoenix News. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a media outlet of interest, without needing prior experience!
Meet student leaders, join a club or organization and learn about Greek life while enjoying games, live music, and food at the Student Organization Fair on Jan. 18 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Hall of Governors.
Keep the good times going with the Winter Vibes Open Mic on Jan. 19 at noon in Engbretson Hall where Jaguars can show off their stage talents and karaoke skills.
Capping off the week are the women’s and men’s basketball ball home games against Trinity Christian at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
