Supply Chain Management Expert

Dr. Tricia Kerns is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Business and Associate Director of GSU’s Supply Chain Innovation Center and Business Incubator, the state’s only supply chain incubator. She is an expert on Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain process improvement and has extensive management experience in various industries in operations, manufacturing, material management, distribution, warehousing and transportation.

When it comes to discussing business operations in greater detail, Dr. Kerns is particularly interested in talking about ways to improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs. She is passionate about ethics in the workplace and the need to be able to make the right decisions in any situation.

Dr. Kerns holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, an M.B.A. in Leadership and a Doctor of Education in Ethical Leadership. Her research exploring the change in business models and strategies of Midwest manufacturing companies that address their competitiveness in the global economy paved the way to her earning a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. She also holds professional supply chain certifications in Production and Inventory Management (APICS CPIM), Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) and SCPro Level 1.
