Governors State University (GovState) is grateful for a recent visit from Illinois State Sen. Michael Halpin, 36th District, who toured campus and discussed deffered maintenance issues and the university's legislative agenda with President Cheryl Green and administrators.

Sen. Halpin serves as the co-chair of the Senate Higher Education Committee and is a member of the bipartisan Higher Education Working Group.
