Recognizing faculty contributions with Star Award

The College of Business (COB) at Governors State University (GovState) started the academic year with a star. During GovState’s All College Meeting, Dr. Marla Mutis was honored with the GSU Star Award—a recognition that highlights faculty and staff who go above and beyond in their contributions to the University community.
Dr. Mutis is known not only for her commitment to academic excellence but also for the energy, care, and creativity she brings to the classroom and to her colleagues. Whether mentoring students, championing new initiatives, or helping to strengthen the University community, she embodies the very spirit of Governors State.
As GovState begins a new semester filled with opportunities, COB is proud to shine a spotlight on one of the college’s own. Congratulations, Dr. Mutis!
