Leadership in Higher Education Expert
Dr. Quincy Martin III is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Higher Education Administration Doctoral Program whose primary area of expertise is centered on pathways to the college or university presidency.
Along with his passion about the vital importance of effective leadership in higher education, Dr. Martin has a keen appreciation for the role that senior administrators play in transforming and shaping institutional culture and campus communities. Additionally, he has an exceptionally strong desire to aid in the professional growth and development of both emerging and seasoned higher education professionals.
Dr. Martin’s research interests include:
- Higher education and the student experience, with special emphasis on retention of male students of color
- Student affairs administration
- Leadership in higher education
Dr. Martin earned his B.M. and his M.Ed. in Counseling and Development from Lamar University, and his Doctor of Education in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University.
