Physical Therapy anatomy lab recognizes foundations and 30-year legacy

To celebrate its 30-year-milestone at Governors State University (GovState), the Physical Therapy (PT) program is making plans to dedicate the Anatomy Lab in honor of one of its biggest champions. Dr. Dale Schuit, Professor Emeritus, served for 13 years at GovState and more than 40 years in the area.
Dr. Schuit was known for his love of working with students in the lab as they gained the foundational knowledge for their careers in PT. Dr. Schuit passed away in 2020.
PT Chair Dr. David Diers (pictured above with students) said the anatomy lab is a foundational piece of education at GovState, and serves as the beginning for students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
“The lab allows the students to dissect an entire cadaver throughout the academic year,” he said.
Tickets for the 3rd Annual Top Golf Fundraiser are $125. Guests will enjoy three hours of golf, a taco bar and two drinks. There will also be raffles and silent auctions. Click here to RSVP.
