New Jaguar Dining Center Officially Opens

Finishing touches are being put on Governors State University's brand new dining center. The overhaul of the 17,500-square-foot café features expanded and renovated spaces now serving as cafeteria stations, the dining area, and the kitchen.

Renovation began mid-April on the Jaguar Dining Center which features socially distanced seating.

"Although the Dining Center is designed to accommodate over 200 seats we have currently set the Dining Center so social distancing can be practiced. We are following Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) guidelines," said Associate VP of Facilities John Potempa. 

The Jaguar Dining Center opened August 31.
