Humans of GSU: Scott Chaplinski

"I haven't had a haircut in 14 years. My entire adult life, I've had dreadlocks. They get pretty heavy, so it was definitely time for a change. Instead of just chopping off my dreadlocks, I decided to do some good. On February 24, 2018, at 1 p.m., I cut my dreadlocks in a YouTube live stream to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to fund childhood cancer research. I raised $2,330. People I know from all around the nation donated money, even those with whom I don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things. That was pretty cool."
