Humans of GSU: Terrence Lee

"Having the chance to be an ambassador as part of student organizations like the Black Student Union  at Governors State University ​has given me confidence. The leadership opportunities have helped me to become a more responsible and confident representative for myself and others including the Blackhawks as a member of the Street Team.

That’s the biggest thing I’m taking away from GSU and I see it all around campus especially during Black History Month. This is the perfect time, the perfect place to celebrate our culture. The curriculum is engaging and we’re encouraged to have a voice on campus. It really builds confidence and character and that’s a beautiful thing."
