Homewood-Flossmoor Neighbors features Dr. Cheryl Green
Governors State University's (GovState) very own President Cheryl Green is featured in Homewood-Flossmoor Neighbors' June issue, where she shares how she found her way back to the Chicago area to become the University's sixth president.
Assuming the role four months into a pandemic presented unique challenges, yet it was a dream come true for Dr. Green, who looked forward to bringing her academic and life experiences to her role. Now, she says it's an honor to serve GovState students as the University shines as the jewel of the Southland.
“I'm looking forward to creating even more programs to serve our diverse students and to elevating our outstanding faculty. We have lives to change and communities to impact,” Dr. Green said in the story.
