GSU hosts electric vehicle event on Earth Day

Governors State University (GSU) was proud to welcome vital public and private stakeholders to campus for an Earth Day discussion about Illinois’ growing electric vehicle industry.

"Reimagining the Electric Vehicle Industry,''  hosted by the Supply Chain Innovation Center and Business Incubator, brought together about 150 attendees, including policy makers and industry experts. Presenters  Dan Seals, CEO of Intersect Illinois, Sylvia Garcia, Acting Director of the Illinois’ Department of Commerce and Economic Impact and Rick Bryant, Senior Advisor to Congresswoman Robin Kelly, provided overviews of efforts to expand the industry in Illinois.

Reggie Greenwood, Executive Director of GSU’s Supply Chain Innovation Center and Business Incubator, said the event came as a way of fostering a critical partnerships.  “That’s certainly what we’re starting here at GSU,” he said. “To be able to create those connections and play a role in promoting the EV industry.”
