GSU hosts annual Winter Walk, unveils new sculptures Dec. 10

Come enjoy hot beverages and wondrous works of art as Governors State University’s award-winning sculpture park welcomes a new collection at the annual Winter Walk Dec. 10.
At 1 p.m. at the G Building South entrance, the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park will be presenting two sculptures by Brazillian artist Denise Milan: “Earth, the Blue Stone'' and “Circle of Gold.” Both sculptures were part of the “Mist of the Earth'' exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center in 2012, which had three themes: Paradise, Paradise Lost and Paradise regained.
Following a discussion about the sculptures, attendees can take a tour of the collection, while taking in theNate’s other inspiring works.
