GovState's Craig Schmidt elected to national board

(University Park, Ill.) – Craig Schmidt, Executive Director of the School of Extended Learning (SXL) at Governors State University (GovState), has recently been elected to the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) Board of Directors. He will serve on the board through June 30, 2026.
NAWDP is the leading advocate for workforce development professionals, providing the education, resources, and certification credibility to individuals seeking to thrive in the industry as thought leaders and innovators. As a member of the board, Schmidt will serve as a volunteer, contributing his time and resources to advance the profession of workforce development.

Elected for Illinois, Schmidt joins the ranks of those on the board who represent the community of more than 4,500 workforce development professionals from across the nation.
