The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) will host a conference at Governors State University (GovState) on March 13 to foster educational and vocational success for young adults with disabilities.

This daylong conference is an opportunity for people to network with the community of families and individuals in the South Suburbs who want to further the conference’s goal of advancing success for young adults with disabilities.

Throughout the day, there will be educational sessions, community resource roundtables, and demonstration spaces.

Conference attendees can learn about topics like navigating health and education systems; college, employment, and independent living; self-advocacy and self-care in college; enhancing student experiences and improving student outcomes; and achieving post-secondary career and employment goals.

Along with the educational sessions, there’s also a fun evening show featuring Comedians with Disabilities. More details to come.
