Commencement student vocalist selected

Governors State University (GSU) Community Health major Myrna Montgomery has been selected to sing the “Lift Every Voice and Sing,’’ also known as the Black National Anthem during the 2023 afternoon Commencement ceremony.

With her bachelor’s degree, Myrna, 60,  hopes to build a career in the healthcare segment serving people  with disabilities. She said she’s honored to address College of Education and College of Health and Human Services students will receive diplomas as the 4:30 afternoon ceremony.
