The Governors State University (GSU) College of Business (COB) has launched a seven-video series to showcase faculty discussing impactful and timely topics from artificial intelligence to workplace culture. Each one to three-minute video promotes subject matter experts (SME’s) who are members of the COB faculty.

The series begins with Dr. Praggyan (Pam) Mohanty a consumer behavior expert who teaches marketing courses at GSU. Mohanty's research explains the marketing significance of using logos that are closely associated with the product image (e.g., Apple logo vs. Ferrari’s horse), so mature customers can easily make the association. This discovery helps marketing experts increase their consumer base. Her research is published in the Journal of Memory and Language and Psychology and Aging (APA Publishing

“…one factor that causes memory errors in older adults is their inability to associate new information... I found that meaningful and related information can boost memory performance in older adults,” said Mohanty.

Each month, one video in the seven-video series will be released until May and then begin again in the fall. To view the first video in the series, please visit the COB LinkedIn Page.

“Digital communication is a powerful transactional tool to connect and deliver messages to a diverse audience.  The College of Business is excited to share the creative research being conducted by its faculty.”  Karen Williams Blackman, Content Creator and Manager of Recruitment, Marketing and External Relations, COB.
