Civil Service Employee of the Month recap Aug. - Oct.

Congratulations are in order for three Governors State University employees who were named Civil Service Employee of the Month from August 2023 through October 2023! All nominations were made anonymously.

Kristina Houston, Associate Director of Talen Management and Training in Human Resources (HR), received the award in August 2023. A co-worker shared: “Kristina makes valuable contributions to the HR department. She is always willing to step in to provide an extra hand and advise on pending issues. Kristina is also great at encouraging our department to stay positive throughout the work week.”

The September 2023 award recipient was Uriah Berryhill, Television Production Coordinator. “Uriah consistently goes out of his way to help colleagues and students across campus succeed. He is an exceptionally generous individual and is incredible at connecting collaborators to achieve goals. His energy and positivity are contagious,” said an appreciative co-worker.

Khuloud Mansour, Preschool Teacher in the Family Development Center (FDC), was the award recipient for October 2023. “Khuloud is very dedicated to giving all the children at the FDC an opportunity to produce art work and display the items at the Art show every year. Her work is a crucial part in making the school age program at the Family Development Center a success,” wrote a co-worker.
