Chicago Southland International Film Festival at Park Forest Public Library featuring new short films.
Program set for February 26

(University Park, Ill.) – The Chicago Southland International Film Festival (CSIFF), in partnership with the Park Forest Public Library, has announced their first collaboration, The Short Film Rerun Series, a film screening event set for February 26 that will feature Governors State University (GovState) student films and more.
This free, new program will showcase short films produced by GovState students as well as past festival favorites from Chicago-based filmmakers with in-person screenings at the Park Forest Public Library.
It will be a celebration of storytelling and local artistry.
Films and filmmakers include: Heard (a moving reflection on loss by GovState student Tiyen Simmons), Treasure Haunt (a ghostly animated short by Chicago native Carlos Lerma), The Pencil (a thriller filmed in Kazakhstan by Chicago native Thomas Schultz ), One for My Baby (a nostalgic look at romance by Chicago native Shiloh Tumo Washington), and Rarely Have You Ever Seen a Fox Like This (a heartfelt documentary about the rare disease called FOXP1 Syndrome by Chicago native Claudia Parker).

This event is free of charge, but seating is limited.
Following the film screenings will be Q&A’s with the filmmakers to learn more about their creative process.
