Join Governors State University (GovState) in celebrating the innovative scholarship of its students and faculty during GovState’s 8th Annual Research Days this April.

From April 17 – 19, GovState will recognize the research and creative activities of students and faculty with live sessions on the first two days and virtual, on-demand prerecorded sessions on the final day.

The live sessions will feature a keynote session, on-campus presentations, panel discussions, and poster sessions. Proposal submissions are still ongoing, though so far submissions have covered a variety of topics ranging from education to healthcare to mindfulness and spirituality.

Lily Morgan, Public Services Librarian at the GovState Library, is part of the team behind this event. “It's so exciting to see what everyone has been working on and the real-world implications and impact this research has.”

Morgan also highlighted that students gain valuable professional experience by presenting their work and can inspire others in attendance.

“Students who attend can see what academic research really looks like and be inspired to get involved,” added Morgan. “Research has power and can influence positive changes in society, and I am truly proud that to be a part of the team organizing this event.”
