Alli Cipra, Ph.D.

Developmental Psychology Expert

Dr. Cipra is an *Assistant Professor who specializes in developmental psychology through the lifespan. She established and directs the Social Development Lab at GSU, where she works diligently on mentoring students in research and providing them with the opportunity to engage in research within a lab setting, and present research at internal and external conferences.

Much of Dr. Cipra’s work investigates child development within the family context, underrepresented groups in a university setting, transition to college, program evaluation, family inter-relational processes and child temperament, and broader social variables, including resilience in children and anti-bullying.

Prior to joining the faculty at GSU in 2014, Dr. Cipra served as faculty at Siena Heights University in Michigan. She earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Law & Society from Purdue University, and earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Development with a minor in Brain Sciences from Indiana University.
