Active Shooter Emergency Procedures

The Governors State University community extends its condolences to everyone impacted by the mass violence inflicted in Las Vegas Sunday night. The senselessness and feeling of loss following a national tragedy deeply affects us as individuals and as a community.

GSU has defined protocol for students, faculty, and staff to follow in the instance of an active shooter on campus. If you witness an active shooter on campus, immediately find safely, if it is possible to do so, and dial 911. 

As we come to terms with the violence that took place yesterday, please remember to take care of yourself and those around you who may be hurting.
