2024 Commencement Set for May 18

Governors State University (GovState) is excited to celebrate more than 1,000 graduates of the Class of 2024 on May 18 at the Tinley Park Convention Center in two ceremonies.

The morning ceremony for College of Arts and Sciences and College of Business starts at 10 a.m. The afternoon ceremony for College of Education and Human Development and College of Health and Human Services starts at 4 p.m.

Dr. Marlon Cummings, Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Education and Leadership, will deliver the keynote address encouraging Jaguars to “embrace the journey and leave a legacy.”

“I do not take lightly the responsibility of offering words of advice and encouragement to the newest Jaguar alumni,'' Cummings said.
