Wishing the brightest new year!

Dear friends, colleagues, and students,

As we welcome 2024, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for the promise the new year holds. This is a time of renewal, as we set goals, start new projects, and strive for growth, progress, and positive change.

I am continuously inspired by the dedication, passion, and talent I see across our university community daily. We have accomplished so much this past year by working collaboratively and supporting one another. Yet there is still more good we can do when we come together in service of our shared mission to educate, discover, and impact society.

In 2024, I challenge each of us to bring more compassion, empathy, and understanding to our classrooms, offices, and laboratories. Reach out with an open heart and mind to connect with someone new. Contribute your skills and talents to uplift your team, department, and community. Imagine new possibilities to innovate and make a difference. We all have something valuable to contribute when the spirit of fellowship and collective purpose motivates us.

The dawn of a new year fills me with optimism for what we can achieve when we support each other in kindness, collaboration, and friendship. I wish you all the very best in 2024! Let us go forward with heads and hearts held high.

In Spirit, Hope and Friendship,

Dr. Cheryl Green

President
