Pedagogy and Bias Expert

Dr. Timothy Harrington is the Division Chair of Education and an Associate Professor at GSU. He received his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Columbus State University in Georgia. While at Cleveland State University in Ohio, he received his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and his doctorate in Urban Education – Learning and Development.

Originally a high school math teacher, Dr. Harrington has worked in higher education as a professor and administrator since 2000. His passion for education and interest in urban and rural education led him to focus his research on matters of pedagogical development as it relates to teachers trained in urban and rural colleges and universities. He has also conducted research with students on bias as it relates to understanding of the teaching environment.
