Family Practice Medicine Expert

Dr. Tifany Jamison is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Coordinator in the Department of Nursing at Governors State University. As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is an expert in family practice and providing direct patient care.

Combined with her role as a primary care provider, Dr. Jamison has a passion for overall healthcare issues, disparities in healthcare, and equity in healthcare and education. She enjoys teaching higher education courses with an emphasis in nursing and academic support. Her research is focused on providing academic support services for students who transition from RN to BSN status, and professionalism in nursing.

Dr. Jamison holds BSN, MSN and Ed.D degrees, and brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her teaching role in the College of Health and Human Services.
