Dear Addiction Studies and Behavioral Health Graduates

Dear Graduates,

Congratulations to all of the graduates from the Department of Addictions Studies and Behavioral Health. Although this is not the way you wanted to celebrate, this does not diminish your accomplishments. For the Community Health graduates, your education has prepared you to address community responses to containing the spread of COVID-19, especially within high risk groups. 

For the Addictions Studies and Addictions Counseling Concentration, your education has prepared you to address a secondary epidemic – re-emerging or newly developed substance use disorders due to our COVID-19 induced isolation, fears, and anxieties. 

 You got this! Your knowledge and skills are greatly needed at this time in our nation.
