Mort Maimon in Inside Higher Ed

Dr. Mort Maimon, husband of GSU President Elaine P. Maimon, wrote an essay on the important role he plays as the spouse of a university president, and Inside Higher Ed published it on July 13. Dr. Maimon uses his love of sports to compare his position to that of a utility player in baseball, one of "the ones ready to come off the bench and perform generally well in roles that, moments before, weren’t anticipated." He writes about discovering and utlizing strengths to support both his wife and the University.
